Title: Comprehensive processing of zinc drosses originated during hot dip galvanizing

Summary: In the process of hot dip galvanizing there are produced solid wastes, drosses. For high content of zinc they represent important secondary source of its metal. The main impurity is an iron, which occurs in form of intermetallic particles. There is need to reduce the content of iron by refining process for its subsequent commercial use. There are known several methods for iron reduction. The project is focused on solving of theoretical and practical tasks of comprehensive zinc dross processing by pyrometallurgical methods. Over time of project investigation zinc dross processing technology will be optimized. The result should consist of the zinc dross treatment technology optimization. The output of project should be recovery of secondary zinc with required purity for its next usage.
